Synopsis (spoiler-free)
Top Indian agent Kabir is now a rogue — or so it seems. When a new threat emerges, the agency sends its most dangerous weapon after him: Vikram, a special units officer with a past of his own. Two superstars, one mission, and a twist that changes everything.
Our detailed review
Story — 7.0/10
The story is the film's weak point. It is a familiar spy plot — a rogue agent, a hidden agenda, a twist you will see coming — stretched across nearly three hours. The film tries to surprise you, but the surprises are telegraphed, and the emotional core between the two leads never quite lands. What it does well is scale: every scene feels like the biggest thing YRF has ever made.
Acting — 8.0/10
Hrithik Roshan is effortlessly cool as Kabir, and N. T. Rama Rao Jr. matches him beat for beat — their face-off scenes are the film's best moments, and NTR's screen presence in Hindi cinema is a genuine event. Kiara Advani is stylish and capable, and Anil Kapoor brings authority as the agency chief. The film belongs to its two leads, and they know it.
Direction — 7.5/10
Ayan Mukerji directs the action with real polish — the set pieces are enormous, beautifully shot and genuinely thrilling, from the opening chase to the finale. But the film is overlong, and the middle hour sags under exposition and songs that slow the momentum. This is a director of romance and fantasy directing his first full action film, and it shows in both the best and worst ways.
Music — 7.5/10
Pritam's songs are catchy, and the background score by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara gives the action real punch. The music does its job, even if no song here reaches the heights of the first War's soundtrack.
What works
- Hrithik Roshan and N. T. Rama Rao Jr. together — a genuine star clash.
- Lavish, enormous action set pieces.
- Glossy, big-budget YRF production values.
What doesn't work
- A thin, predictable story stretched across 2h 53m.
- The middle hour sags, and the twist is easy to guess.
Final verdict — 7.4/10
A glossy spy spectacle carried by its two superstars. Come for Hrithik vs NTR and the action — just don't expect a clever story.

Box Office
| Budget | ₹400 crore |
|---|---|
| Opening day | ₹52.5 crore (India net; about ₹80 crore worldwide) |
| Opening weekend | ₹176 crore (India net, 4-day extended weekend) |
| Worldwide total | ₹371.26 crore |
| Verdict | Flop |
2025's second-biggest Indian opener and Hrithik Roshan's best opening — but collections collapsed after the opening weekend on mixed word of mouth. With a ₹400 crore landing cost it needed ₹650–700 crore worldwide to succeed and managed barely half that.
